Feston Care admin — warranty pipeline health across four product families.
FEST Group is a South Indian solar group active in inverters, panels, and battery energy storage. BITS has been engaged with the group since 2021.
Two products run on top of the engagement — the Festa Solar marketing site and the Feston Care warranty portal — and the group's infrastructure sits underneath both. The contract had a break in year three; the recommendation on re-engagement was to reduce the group's infrastructure footprint, not expand it.
Festa Solar
· Marketing sitePrerendered set of pages — every product detail page is a real HTML file generated at build time. The only request-time code is the contact-form handler. Infrastructure bill scales with form submissions, not page views.
Feston Care
· Warranty portalFour product families, two PDF pipelines. Hybrid and Batteries draw warranty PDFs procedurally at the moment of download. Ongrid and Micro overlay customer details on a pre-designed template. Both pipelines reach from the same staff-portal action.
Three decisions that shaped the build.
Replaced a three-service architecture with a static build.
The marketing site was rebuilt as a fully prerendered set of pages. Every page, including each product detail page, is a real HTML file generated at build time. The only request-time code is a small contact-form handler. The infrastructure bill now scales with form submissions rather than page views.
Two cert pipelines reached from one staff action.
Feston manufactures four product families. Two of them (Hybrid, Batteries) use warranty PDFs drawn procedurally at the moment of download. The other two (Ongrid, Micro) overlay customer details on a pre-designed template. Both pipelines are reached from the same action in the staff portal.
Recommended a smaller infrastructure footprint on re-engagement.
After a contract break, the group's monthly cloud bill had risen to a level the actual traffic did not justify. BITS recommended leaving the existing architecture rather than optimising the bill within it. The marketing site was rebuilt as a static build and the group's digital platforms moved to a smaller hosting setup. The monthly infrastructure cost fell by a wide margin.
Two products live. One smaller bill.
Festa Solar runs as a static build. Feston Care runs the warranty pipelines for all four product families from the same staff portal. The group's monthly cloud bill fell by a wide margin after re-engagement — the architecture is now sized to the traffic it actually sees.
✱ Engagement is multi-year and ongoing. The team rotates two to three people depending on what's in flight. The cost-reduction figure is not disclosed at the group's request.
