ALL WORK02 / STRETCH CEILINGS · ENGAGED SINCE 2022 · ONGOING

ICeil

A four-year, multi-vector engagement covering the site, the SEO methodology, the blog pipeline, the franchise portal, and the AWS environment.

ENGAGED
Since 2022
ROLE
Long-term digital partner
SCOPE
Site · SEO · blog pipeline · franchise portal · AWS
ICeil franchise portal image search screen with a gallery of stretch-ceiling installation photographs.

Franchise portal — searchable image library across 15,000+ installation references.

01  /  THE FOUNDERS' PROBLEM
━━━━

Stretch ceilings are a considered purchase, not an online one. A typical sales conversation happens in a franchise studio, in person.

A common pattern: a client walks in, sees a reference image — a galaxy-night ceiling, say — and asks whether something similar can be delivered for their venue. ICeil's founders in Chennai had built the catalogue and could field these questions directly. The 43+ franchise partners had access to the same catalogue but not the same product fluency. The brand was consistent across studios; conversion was not.

02  /  WHAT WE BUILT

Three surfaces, one engagement.

01

Marketing site

132 HAND-CRAFTED HTML PAGES, NO CMS

Static HTML files served by Apache, with a small PHP contact-form handler. Head, nav, footer and shared scripts live once in shared partials and compose into every page at build time. Static at runtime; DRY at edit time.

02

Blog publishing pipeline

STRAPI → SSG → FTP

Posts authored in a Strapi v5 CMS on EC2. On publish, a webhook triggers a Node static-site generator that renders the post, updates the index and sitemap, and FTP-syncs the changed files to Hostinger. Publish-to-live is ~30 seconds. (Currently in user-acceptance testing with the ICeil team.)

03

Franchise project portal

SHARED WORKSPACE FOR THE NETWORK

A password-protected workspace where franchise partners upload completed projects, searchable by ceiling type, venue, finish and colour. A franchisee answering a client question can curate a selection of real installed examples, share a temporary URL, and collect a testimonial against the project record when it ships.

03  /  HOW WE BUILT IT

Three habits that keep the work audit-clean.

01

Verified-facts rule

Every numeric or factual claim in copy or schema markup must come from a verified-facts list in CLAUDE.md at the project root. New claims require ICeil-team confirmation before they land. Future engineers (and future agent sessions) read the same contract, which prevents copy drift over time.

02

Audit pipeline

Each SEO phase ships a Node audit script and an Excel workbook for client review. Every sheet has an assignee column constrained to developer or client, so accountability is explicit per row. A phase ships only when its audit floor reaches zero; the same audit re-runs on every new page added to the site.

03

Smoke-test routine

Phase 7 introduced 84 redirect rules — a broken redirect can take months to surface. A scheduled remote agent runs on cadence: clones the repo, executes a smoke-test against the live site, asserts every old URL returns a 301 with the correct Location header, and reports a punch list of failures.

04  /  THE TRUST LADDER

Each scope was added after the previous scope was delivered.

  1. STEP 01A small consult.
  2. STEP 02Website revamp — chrome, schema, audits, redirects.
  3. STEP 03The blog publishing pipeline.
  4. STEP 04The franchise project portal.
  5. STEP 05AMC. Almost two years now.
  6. STEP 06Their AWS environment. Other vendors' software runs inside it too.
  7. STEP 07The methodology that keeps it all audit-clean.
